  • Why Go: After a long work week, lighten up your mood with the improvisational comedy troupe Improv Jones Boston

  • Where/When: Arsenal Center for the Arts, Watertown, Friday and Saturday, 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, 3 p.m.
  • Why Go: Relive history by experiencing real-life stories about the Rodney King incident and the Los Angeles riots of 1992.  The performance is presented by The Lexington Players.

  • Why Go: No need to travel to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. Stay local and celebrate with pizza, drinks, and the music of The Suburbanaires, a lively jazz and swing band.
  • Pricing: $15

  • Where/When: Arsenal Center for the Arts, Watertown, Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m. and Sunday, 2 p.m.
  • Why Go: This contemporary adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll House, by playwright Theresa Rebeck, has received rave reviews. Don’t miss it!

  • Where/When: Rashi Auditorium, Newton, Sunday, 3 p.m.-5:15 p.m.
  • Why Go: If you are a lover of early Romantic music, this concert is for you.  The Newton Symphony Orchestra performs works by Strauss, Berlioz, and Wagner, with special guest soloist Richard Sebring on French Horn.  Guests are invited to come early for a pre-concert lecture, and stay afterwards for a post-concert reception.
