Westin Hotel in Waltham Among Credit Card Breach

The front desk payments were not affected, but payments made in the restaurant, gift shop, bar and other retail areas of the Westin Waltham hotel may have been in a Starwood hotel breach.

Hackers cracked in to see debit and credit card information at 54 of its hotels, reported WCVB-TV.

The other two Boston hotels were the Westin Boston Waterfront and Sheraton Boston Hotel.

Starwood told WCVB that the malware exposed names and numbers on the cards, as well as security codes and expiration dates.
