What's Open, Closed on Memorial Day in Waltham
Along with city offices and banks, by state law, liquor stores are also closed on Memorial Day in Massachusetts.

WALTHAM, MA - Monday, May 30, is Memorial Day, and the holiday means some businesses and other places in town will be closed.
Specifically, City Hall and the library will be closed in Waltham, along with liquor stores, which are closed on Memorial Day due to Massachusetts state law.

Before you head out, check our list of what’s open and closed on the holiday:
- Municipal, state, federal offices: Closed (no meetings)
- Schools: Closed
- Waltham Public Library: Closed
- Banks: Closed
- Mail: Post offices closed; express delivery only
- Supermarkets: Open
- Convenience stores: Open
- Retail stores: Open at owner’s discretion
- Restaurants, bars: Open at owner’s discretion
- Liquor stores: Closed
- Trash, recycling: Delayed one day.
