Why The Waltham Common Flag Is At Full-Staff
It's not an oversight - in fact, it's on purpose.

WALTHAM, MA — Yes, city officials are aware that the flag at Waltham Common's Circle of Remembrance is at full-staff. And what's more, it's on purpose, and very much the norm.
Even though Gov. Charlie Baker has ordered flags be flown at half-staff across the Commonwealth following the passing of Sen. John McCain, the flag at the was at full-staff, a reader pointed out in an email Tuesday.
City officials said that while the City Hall flag and others around the city have been lowered since Monday, the American flag in the Circle of Remembrance was not lowered because service flags and the American flag there are at a memorial. Those flags always remain at full-staff.
