WLT Involves 150 in Earth Day Cleanups
The Waltham Land Trust organized eight cleanups on two days and collected a lot of trash!
The Waltham Land Trust involved 150 volunteers who beautified open space and collected approximately 170 bags of trash on April 22nd and 24th during eight events. Six of these activities where along the Charles River, where volunteers tackled roughly six miles of terrain. The other two cleanups were along two one-half-mile sections of the Mass Central Rail Trail, the watershed of which drains into the Charles, for a total seven miles beautified!
