Your Newton Weather: Thunderstorms With a Small Chance of Sunny

The forecast looks rainy and not that hot.

Memorial Day marks the unofficial first day of summer and temperatures this week could crack 80. But that comes with some rain, sometimes possibly heavy thunderstorms, throughout the week and even the weekend.

Here’s a look at this week’s forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 86. Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the evening, mostly after midnight. Low of 63.

Wednesday: Chance of thunderstorms and showers, mainly after 3 p.m. Some could be heavy. Wednesday will be partly sunny, with a high near 84. Wednesday night brings a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after midnight. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. The evening brings a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Friday night is mostly cloudy, with a low around 61.

The weekend, so far, looks to be warm, but with lots of chances of rain.
