Health leaders urge residents to keep using mosquito repellent, wear long sleeves and pants outdoors, and stay cautious until a hard frost ends mosquito activity.

Flock Safety failed to secure Boston vehicle data during 2025 pilot, report finds (wbur.org) â Boston's 2025 pilot with Flock Safety license plate readers allowed outside agencies to access vehicle data despite a contract promising isolation, raising fresh privacy concerns that also touch Watertown Police, who requested access. Watertown's state Rep. Steven Owens has filed legislation that would require police statewide to get a court order before sharing such data, aiming to tighten protections around surveillance technology.
