Person Killed In 3-Car Crash On Route 20 Identified: UPDATED

A crash on Route 20 near the Wayland line resulted in one fatality, state police said, and traffic was closed on 20.

WOBURN/WAYLAND, MA – A person killed in a three-car crash in Weston on Route 20 near the Wayland line on Friday, May 20, has been identified.

Robert Lynch, 71, of Waltham died in the crash that happened in the area of Buckskin Drive on Boston Post Road/Route 20.

At approximately 12:38 p.m. on Friday, Weston Police received a report of a motor vehicle crash on Route 20/Boston Post Road in the area of Buckskin Drive.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a vehicle was traveling on Route 20 westbound striking a vehicle before crossing into the eastbound lane striking another vehicle head on. The driver of the vehicle that was struck head on, a 75-year-old female, was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A third person involved, a 55-year-old male, was not transported to a hospital.

This crash is being investigated by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Weston Police and the State Police CARS unit.
