The Wayland Fire Department will use the grant to purchase essential equipment.

Congresswoman Katherine Clark announced on Thursday that the Wayland Fire Department will receive a federal grant totaling $16,167 under the Federal Awards for Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) for Fire Department Pagers.
In a December letter to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Clark strongly urged the agency to approve this grant to help with the purchase of essential equipment for Wayland’s Firefighters.
“The Wayland Fire Department is dedicated to our town and works tirelessly to keep our community safe,” said Congresswoman Clark in the announcement. “This grant provides the necessary resources for essential communication devices and I’m thrilled for Chief Miller and his team.”
