5 Boston-Based Art Galleries Coming To Wayland Town Center
A temporary art fair that brings five contemporary galleries into a shared space will open this weekend in Wayland
WAYLAND, MA — A temporary art fair bringing five contemporary galleries into one shared space will open this weekend at Wayland Town Center.
The curated fair will run Saturdays and Sundays from Jun. 6 to Jun. 21 at 57 Andrew Ave., featuring Boston-based galleries and artists working in painting, photography, printmaking and mixed media. The event is free and open to the public.
The five exhibitors include Robert Klein Gallery, Caira Ant Editions, LaiSun Keane, Praise Shadows and Steven Zevitas Gallery.
An opening reception will be held on Saturday, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a special appearance by the Humble Taco truck. The fair will be open from noon to 5 p.m. on Jun. 6 and 7, Jun. 13 and 14 and Jun. 20 and 21.
Coca-Cola, Topo Chico, Boston Art Review, Jameson & Thompson and Picture Framers will all sponsor the event, while it is hosted by Wayland Town Center and Graffito SP.
The outdoor shopping center at 4 Elissa Ave, which is home to many businesses, including Stop and Shop, Sperry's Liquors, and Ace Hardware, was sold late last year.
Following the sale, a new vision for the town center emerged through a partnership among Northpond Partners, Legacy Capital Ventures and Graffito SP. The firms said they aim to help the property play "an even more meaningful role for residents, visitors, and local businesses."
