Today's riddle: What has a neck but no head? 🤔 (Answer below!)
• Wayland weighs costs and benefits of split tax rate (waylandpost.org) — Wayland officials are weighing whether to adopt a split property tax rate that would shift roughly $480,000 in annual taxes from homeowners to commercial properties without changing total town revenue. The Economic Development Committee is drafting a proposal for the Select Board, which must analyze impacts on residential bills, commercial rents, vacancies and property values before deciding if the change makes sense for Wayland's heavily residential tax base.
