Bicyclist Seriously Injured In Wayland Collision

The woman was flown to a hospital in Boston after the Thursday morning collision with a driver.

WAYLAND, MA — A woman was hit by a driver and seriously injured in Wayland Thursday morning, according to the fire department.

The 24-year-old woman was riding along Glen Road around 8 a.m. when she was hit. Wayland firefighters took her to a landing zone nearby at Town Hall, where a helicopter flew her to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

The address of the collision was 14 Glen Road, which is where the Mass Central Rail Trail crosses the street.
