Join us for Music of America’s Foundation, an afternoon celebrating the soundtrack of America’s history, authentically performed by The Red Horse Oldtime Stringband.
On Sunday, June 28th at 2:00 PM, gather on the Town Green at Wayland Center for this free outdoor concert experience. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy an afternoon of live traditional music in a relaxed, community setting. Guests are welcome to bring their own refreshments.
Presented by Arts Wayland in partnership with WaylandRev250, Wayland Museum Historical Society, Wayland Park and Rec, and Wayland Town Center, this program brings history and music together on the Green.

Arts Wayland presents Tides of Change, a month-long June exhibition exploring environmental transformation, resilience, and the evolving relationship between people and the natural world through visual art, film, movement, and community engagement. The exhibit opens on Friday, June 6 at 5 PM with a reception featuring a live performance by Liquid Spine, whose eco-dance work highlights the stories and urgency of our water systems, including wearable art created from reclaimed ocean debris. Throughout June, visitors can also experience selections from the FOR THIS EARTH – Screendance Festival, a curated series of short films focused on sustainability, environmental activism, and the beauty of nature, along with additional eco-themed events throughout the month. <a href="https://www.laisunkeane.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">LaiSun Keane</a> is pleased to announce our participation in Gallery Hang, a pop up exhibition concept organized by <a href="https://graffito.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Graffito SP.</a>&nbsp;On view from June 6 through June 21, 2026, the gallery will present a solo exhibition of paintings by Boston artist <a href="https://www.laisunkeane.com/artists/212-jordan-mcgirk/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Jordan McGirk</a>. Participating galleries also include Robert Klein Gallery, Caira Edition, Praise Shadows Gallery, and Steve Zevitas Gallery.
Gallery Hang will take place at Wayland Town Center, 57 Andrew Avenue, Wayland, Massachusetts 01778.
The Opening Reception is on Saturday, June 6, from 5 to 7 pm and the space will be open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays, June 6 and 7, June 13 and 14, and June 20 and 21, from 12 to 5 pm.
In our solo presentation titled <a href="https://www.laisunkeane.com/exhibitions/76-jordan-mcgirk-power-play-gallery-hang-wayland-town-center/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Power Play,</a> Jordan McGirk places characters from Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers within densely painted forests that at times verge on abstraction through thick impasto and layered surfaces. Drawing from the inspirations of a long running television series that shaped many millennials in the 1990s and early 2000s, McGirk examines ideas of American masculinity, cultural appropriation, camp, cosplay, and the performative nature of heroism. Through memory and nostalgia, the paintings reflect on his childhood before the presence of social media while reconsidering familiar narratives of good and evil.
Jordan McGirk is an artist working in Boston, Massachusetts. He received his BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in painting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his MFA in Visual Art from Washington University in St. Louis. McGirk’s work explores and critiques images of Western hypermasculinity, escapism, and the failing Anthropocene.
McGirk has exhibited work nationally, including at Amos Eno Gallery in New York, Waterloo Arts Gallery in Ohio, AVC Gallery in California, Hamiltonian Gallery in Washington, D.C., Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum in St. Louis, MO, the St. Louis Lambert International Airport, and Houska Gallery in St. Louis.Email: info@laisunkeane.com for details and inquiries.

Training about domestic violence and coercive control following changes in the 209A law.&nbsp; Dr. Ellerman, domestic abuse expert and researcher, will share critical information for survivors, town/community leaders and allies.
In 2024, Massachusetts made a historic shift by expanding the Chapter 209A legal definition of domestic abuse to include coercive control, a pattern of behavior intended to harass, intimidate, and coerce compliance. This training is designed to raise awareness and equip the public with tools to identify and describe subtle patterns of abuse and control.
You will learn how to: 1) identify a wide range of abusive and controlling behaviors that change over time 2) understand how children are directly targeted and affected by coercive control 3) see through the ways that abusers disguise and normalize their abuse 4) learn how survivors can use the 209A law to obtain legal protection 5) understand the challenges of post-separation abuse.
Helpful for community members navigating controlling or abusive relationships, their friends, family, allies, and local leaders.

We are limiting rentals to approximately 32 people from a logistics and coordination standpoint. If you want a rental boat reserve your spot now — reply to this post or send a private message with:

You do not need experience. These boats are designed for beginners and the South Natick impoundment is calm flatwater — one of the most beautiful and most canoeable stretches of the entire Charles River according to the Charles River Watershed Association’s own 1973 guide. Bring your own boat if you have one — canoes, kayaks, paddleboards all welcome. The more boats on the water the better.
