Car Break-Ins Continue in Wayland

Numerous residents have reported their cars broken into since the beginning of August.

Thieves are still out in full force, based on a recent police log supplied by the Wayland Police Department, and looking to get your cash, GPS units and any other valuables you may leave in your car.

Since the beginning of August 2014, the Wayland Police Department has received numerous complaints of motor vehicles being broken into in the community.

These motor vehicles are being broken into during the evening to early morning hours and are targeting unlocked motor vehicles. The suspect(s) are stealing cash, change, wallets, purses and credit cards.

The Wayland Police Department reminds all residents and visitors not to leave valuables in their vehicles and lock the doors to their vehicles.
