Carroll School Site Plan Gets OK From Zoning Board

The school is getting closer to its expansion plan.

WAYLAND, MA—The Carroll School is one step closer to expanding its size, and programs. The Wayland Zoning Board approved its site plan following the building commissioner's decision on Sept. 8.

See the decision and related attachments provided here. The actual site plans may be reviewed at the Planning Department during Department hours of operation.

In February of this year, the Carroll School announced that it had acquired the property on the Wayland/Lincoln line "that will provide significant program and facilities enhancements for our current and future students. In making this strategic move, Carroll is able to achieve crucial programmatic and institutional goals that will benefit the long term strength of our institution and will create new opportunities for innovation and collaboration."

A research group for the school examined a number of viable options with this land and property at 39/45 Waltham Road, including new athletic fields, and new buildings.

The school did not anticipate any students moving until the fall of 2017 at the earliest.
