Couple Accused of Beating Up Elderly Man After Fender Bender in Wayland

Wayland police have arrested a man and woman they say attacked a 72-year-old man after a fender bender in Wayland.

Jason Schleider and Dawn Izzi, 32 Edgewood Road, Wayland, are both facing charges after Izzi reportedly backed into another car and the driver got out and took pictures. There was also a passenger with the elderly driver. The assault, say police, took place at Amey Road and Fuller Road.

Witnesses said they saw Schleider punching the driver in the face, “beating him up,” reported WHDH.

Schleider faces charges of assaulting someone over 60 and Izzi was charged with leaving the scene of an MVA with property damage, drunk driving and resisting arrest.

Both were booked and released on bail pending arraignment in Framingham District Court.
