Cranberry Shabbat
Saturday, October 24 (raindate Oct 31) 10:30 AM Wachusett Reservoir, Boylston Ma'yan Tikvah - A Wellspring of Hope
Come for Cranberry Shabbat! Experience Shabbat morning prayers and cranberry picking beside Wachusett Reservoir (on dry land) and then to share a late fall potluck picnic lunch. Bring something to share for lunch and your own drinks and utensils. (Warm soup sounds good for a picnic in October!) Also please bring containers for the cranberries. You can pick some berries for yourself, but most will be given to a homeless shelter for their Thanksgiving dinner. This Shabbat adventure will be led by Rabbi Katy Allen and will take place at the wild cranberry bogs by Wachusett Reservoir. There may be muddy spots, so be prepared footwear-wise, and it could be windy and chilly along the water. Please RSVP to rabbi@mayantikvah.org for information on the meeting place, carpooling, or other questions.
