DPW Plans to Begin Hydrant Flushing Oct. 8
The work could cause water discoloration.

Hydrant flushing in Wayland will begin on Oct. 8, according to a press release from the Department of Public Works.
During the first week of hydrant flushing, the following areas will be affected between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. daily.
- Old Sudbury Road

- Cochituate Road

- Old Connecticut Path (east and west)
- Woodridge Road
- Rice Road
The DPW release stated that some discoloration could occur during this time and advised that residents run an outdoor hose until water is clear if dicoloration occurs.
