Mission
Eclipse will offer serious dancers a chance to hone their technique and performance skills in a rigorous and disciplined environment. Through competition performances, dancers work toward a common goal and learn valuable lessons in teamwork, dedication, responsibility, and commitment. Fierce, Lil Clipz, and Min-Eclipse will compete with one jazz routine, and, if rehearsal time permits, an additional dance category (hip-hop, lyrical, etc.) Tap Team will compete with one tap routine.
Prerequisites/Audition Dates
Dancers should be taking at least 2 hours of dance per week, but this is not required. Evaluations for the Jazz Teams will take place Saturday, October 15 from 9:00am-10:00am and Monday, October 17 from 6:45-7:45. Choose one date. Evaluations for the Advanced Tap Team will take place Friday, October 14 from 2:45-3:45. Call 978-443-2400 to schedule an evaluation

POLICIES & OTHER COSTS
Dancers must be available for all competitions and most performances through May, 2012. No more than 2 more rehearsals may be missed. Dancers must adhere to a strict rehearsal dress code. Dancers are expected to maintain a professional attitude throughout the entire season. Disruptive behavior may be cause for dismissal. Additional expenses include competition costumes, competition fees, and matching tights/shoes/makeup/accessories. Optional expenses may include additional team clothing, jackets, and dance conventions.
SOLOS, DUETS, & TRIOS
Students who are interested in competing in solos, duets, and trios will have an opportunity to indicate that on the audition form. Solos/duets/trios are an additional cost (choreography fees range from $150-$325 plus the competition fees) and are dependent upon instructor and studio availability. Students must be on the dance team in order to participate in solos, duets, and trios.
