Fueled by a Boost in Luxury Car Sales, The Herb Chambers Companies Report a Record-Setting 2014

SOMERVILLE, MA (21 January 2015) – Boosted by big sales of luxury cars and SUVs, The Herb Chambers Companies enjoyed record sales at their auto dealerships in 2014, making it the most successful year in the company’s 29-year history.

With more than 50 locations across Massachusetts and Rhode Island, Herb Chambers reported a nearly 10 percent increase in car sales for 2014 over the prior year. “It’s our mission not to sell cars, but to help people buy cars that they love,” said Herb Chambers of the Herb Chambers Companies. “I’m pleased that in 2014, we helped more people than ever before.”

Herb Chambers’ luxury sales in 2014 surpassed – and in some cases overcame – national trends. Audi, Mercedes, Porsche and Maserati sales by Herb Chambers dealerships outpaced national sales growth. Sales of Cadillac cars from Herb Chambers were up 3 percent in a year where Cadillac sales were down across the country.

2014 crowned Herb Chambers as the leader of many luxury brands. The company’s Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz dealerships were number one in the Boston market. Herb Chambers dealerships led combined new vehicle sales in New England for many brands including Lexus, Infiniti and Cadillac.

“In 2014, more people than ever said they were looking for luxury cars,” continued Chambers. “We expect that trend to continue into 2015, and we will be here to give them the best offers and the best service.”

Given the current trends, the anticipated openings of new dealerships, and the imminent release of new models in the coming months, Herb Chambers is expecting another record-breaking year for 2015. In particular, the dealership is expecting double-digit growth from its Audi & Volvo dealerships and significant growth from the Lincoln acquisition and new Lexus dealership in Hingham opening this spring.
