Thanksgiving Eve Liturgy, Thanksgiving Day Dinner for Shut-ins, Giving Tree Project, and upcoming Wednesday Lunch group.

Thanksgiving Eve Liturgy

Let us gather around the table of the Eucharist to acknowledge God’s gracious providence and the many blessings we have received. A Mass of Thanksgiving will be celebrated on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 26, 7:00PM at Saint Zepherin Church. To share our blessings with others, we invite you to bring non-perishable food items that will be given to Saint Matthew Pantry in Dorchester. A monetary donation will also be taken up for Saint Matthew Food Pantry.

Knights of Columbus

5th Sunday Rosary Program In Support of the Persecuted Christians of the Middle East

Saturday, November 28th after the 4:00pm Mass Good Shepherd’s Knights of Columbus are asking the Community to come together to pray the Rosary. This service will be conducted Saturday, November 28th immediately after the 4:00 pm Mass at St. Ann’s. This rosary service will be conducted using a finger rosary. Knights will be providing all those in attendance with the finger rosaries and prayer booklets. The booklet includes a section on how to use the finger rosary and the prayers necessary for praying the rosary. Participants may also bring their own rosaries to use during the service.

Volunteer Opportunities for Our Good Shepherd Giving Tree Project

This year our “Giving Trees” will be displayed the weekend of November 29th and 30th. We are always grateful for the thoughtfulness and generosity of our parishioners in providing gifts to foster children in our com- munity and to families affected by domestic violence. Besides providing gifts, there are other ways you may consider helping: writing the gift information on the paper ornaments; assembling the trees; accounting for gifts after the 10:30 Mass on collection day, Dec. 13; making reminder calls to parishioners be- fore, and on, collection day; shopping for “missing” gifts the day of collection. If you are interested in any of these opportunities call Donna Hale 508-561- 2937 or email donna.hale54@gmail.com. Many thanks!

Wednesday Lunch Group

The Wednesday Lunch Group will meet on Wednesday, December 2nd at 11:30 AM. We have changed our meeting place to the Parish Center at St. Zepherin Church.

Sister Roberta will come and help us prepare for Christmas with an Advent reflection. Please bring a brown bag lunch and a donation to the food pantry. Call if you need more information: Janet Testa 508-358-2934 or Marjorie McCammon 508-358-720

Society of the Propagation of the Faith

As part of the annual Missionary Co Operative Program, Mrs. Maureen Crowley Heil, will speak at all Masses the weekend of December 5 & 6 about the Society of the Propagation of the Faith, one of the four Pontifical Mission Societies represented here in the Archdiocese of Boston. She will share her experience in the missions with us as a way to raise awareness about the need to spread the Good News to the more than one billion people in the world who have yet to hear it proclaimed. The Society of the Propagation of the Faith is the official mission agency of the Church dedicated to educating men and women in the missions who would like to answer a religious call but cannot afford to because of their poverty. They thank you in advance for your prayers and support.
