Grass Volleyball Court Now Open for Use
The grassy lot next to the Wayland Community Pool serves as the setting.
Just in time for Memorial Day weekend, a volleyball net has gone up next door to the Wayland Community Pool.
The , in conjunction with the Wayland High School volleyball teams, installed the net, which is open to everyone free of charge.
According to a press release, the net will remain up until November and will be open until sundown each day. It's located at the corner of Old Connecticut Path and the entrance to the high school.
Players can leave a form of ID and check out one of two volleyballs available at the front desk of the Wayland Community Pool, or they are welcome to bring their own ball. In addition, the press release recommends bringing cones or other items to mark the corners of the court as there are no lines drawn.
"Thank you to the community pool, the boys varsity WHS volleyball team and parents for making this court available to everyone," the press release reads.
