Temple Shir Tikva invites the community to a weekend of learning, December 12-14, with Rabbi Yoel Glick, a preeminent teacher of Jewish meditation. Rabbi Glick has been described as the foremost thinker of our time on the practice of Jewish meditation. The weekend begins on December 12 at 6:15 p.m. for services and dinner. The theme is the “Consciousness of Shabbat” introducing Kabbalistic concepts that are integral to Shabbat. Please register in advance: $18 for TST members/$36 non-members. The weekend continues Saturday, December 13 at 9:30 a.m. with Rabbi Glick leading Torah study, and continues from 1-6 p.m. for an extended opportunity for experiential learning with Rabbi Glick, beginning with Shabbat lunch and culminating with Havdallah. Saturday is a time for in-depth exploration of meditation, profound questions and answers, and prayer and contemplation. On Sunday at 9 a.m. the week will conclude with Jewish Yoga with Rabbi Glick relating Jewish principles to the most common models of Yoga.
