The Umbrella Community Arts Center welcomes “Best of Boston” award-winning stand-up comic and social and political humorist Jimmy Tingle, Friday, May 16. The show features a live performance by Jimmy Tingle and a screening of the film Jimmy Tingle’s American Dream. Named Best Documentary by the Independent Film Quarterly Film and New Media Festival in 2011, the film is a one hour tour de force of comedy, commentary, and conversation with some of America’s most notable personalities and social critics, as well as family, friends, and total strangers as they speak up and speak out on the American Dream. Following the screening, Jimmy Tingle himself will take to the stage.
