Cassidy Turley, a leading commercial real estate services provider in the U.S., today announced The North America Family Institute (NAFI), a provider of ninety-five residential and community based programs across nine states from Florida to Maine for at-risk communities, families and children, has awarded John Boyle of Wayland, Mass., The Spirit of the Community Award at NAFI’s, 40th Anniversary Annual Conference that was held at the Double Tree Hotel in Danvers, MA in front of 700 people. This Spirit of the Community Award, NAFI’s highest honor given for exceptional service, was presented to John for his outstanding leadership in supporting at-risk youth in Boston.
“We are so pleased to award John Boyle this prestigious award,” said Dr. Yitzhak Bakal, NAFI President. “John has pioneered the important relationship that must exist between social service agencies and the business community. After a career of helping others, there was no question that he was the ideal candidate this year.”
Last year’s recipient of the NAFI Spirit of the Community Award was Boston Police Chief William Gross.

“I am truly humbled and so honored to accept this award,” Boyle said. “However, it is not me who should be honored, yet rather all the NAFI professionals that are tirelessly working on behalf of and supporting these at-risk kids and families.”
Boyle has been assisting NAFI with their Youth Link program, which works in Boston Housing Developments such as Franklin Field in Dorchester and Lenox/Camden in Boston’s South End. Youth Link works with the youth living in these developments along with Boston Police to reduce violence, provide personal growth and ensure safety and harmony for residents and families.

Cassidy Turley announced in a press release on September 22 that it has entered into an agreement with an affiliate of DTZ Investment Holdings, backed by TPG, PAG Asia Capital and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (the Consortium that agreed to acquire DTZ), to sell 100% of the equity interests of Cassidy Turley. The agreement is subject to customary closing conditions and is dependent on Cassidy Turley’s combination with the operations of DTZ Group (DTZ) to create a global, full-service commercial real estate services company. The Consortium’s acquisition of DTZ is currently scheduled to close in early November 2014. The acquisition of Cassidy Turley is expected to close on December 31, 2014.
