WAYLAND, MA — Wayland residents headed to the polls on Tuesday to vote in the town's annual election.

There were three contested races in this year's election: Board of Selectmen, Board of Public Works and Planning Board Associate Member.

Board of Selectmen (two three-year terms):

• Cherry C. Karlson (Incumbent) - 858 votes (W)
• Douglas A. Levine - 902 votes (W)
• Kamal Namou - 435 votes

School Committee (two two-year terms):

• Jeanne Downs - 837 votes
• Nathanial Buffum - 762 votes

Board of Assessors (two three-year terms):

• Steven Glovsky - 730 votes
• Jason S. Brodie - 782 votes

Library Trustees (two three-year terms):

• Aida A. Gennis - 909 votes
• Leah Hart - 834 votes

Board of Health (two three-year terms):

• Arnold R. Soslow - 749 votes
• Susan Erica Green - 785 votes

Planning Board (one five-year term, one three-year term):

• Kevin Francis Murphy - 853 votes

• Nicole W. Riley - 828 votes

Planning Board Associate Member (one three-year term):

• Jennifer M. Steel - 803 votes (W)
• William H. Catlin, Jr - 277 votes

Board of Public Works (one three-year term):

• Thomas J. Abdella - 537 votes (W)
