Karlson's Commitment and Experience are Ideal

I am writing in support of Cherry Karlson's candidacy to join the Wayland Board of Selectmen.  I have watched and listened to Cherry many times over the years at both FinCom and Town Meetings.  She has consistently been well-informed, knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the multiplicity of issues the town faces, and incredibly measured and well-spoken during tough town controversies. Cherry's breadth of experience, her deep and current knowledge of the town's inner workings, and her pleasant and gracious manner interacting with a varied group of constituencies make her an ideal candidate to join our Board of Selectman. 

A few years ago I spent time speaking with Cherry in an effort to better understand how our town government operated.  What struck me most during those conversations with Cherry, was Cherry herself:  Her love of managing a tough volunteer job that required hundreds of hours of work and a good degree of difficulty, her incredible passion for the town of Wayland, and her committed ability to look at many different sides of an issue with an evenly balanced perspective.

I am so grateful that Cherry is interested in stepping up into the board, as her uniquely experienced skill set will serve us all well.  I wholeheartedly support Cherry Karlson for Board of Selectmen.
