A look back at our favorite Arts stories from 2011.

No doubt about it: Wayland is an artistic town, and Wayland Patch has had the pleasure of witnessing some of that art firsthand as we've covered the arts in Wayland.

1. (Sept. 20)
John Michalczyk, a Wayland resident and documentarian, turned his attention to the riots in Kenya following the 2007 elections and the country's work to recover from the violence.

2. (April 18)
Author and Wayland resident Mark Peter Hughes' book "Lemonade Mouth" became a Disney Channel movie and the premiere was right in Wayland.
