Magistrate Judge Dismisses Charges in Fatal Cape Car Crash
Marina Keegan's boyfriend won't face charges in the Memorial Day weekend crash that claimed Keegan's life.

An Orleans, Mass., magistrate judge Thursday ruled that there is no basis for criminal charges against the driver of a car involved in May 26 crash that killed Wayland resident Marina Keegan.
Keegan, who graduated from Yale University a week before the crash, was the passenger in 1997 Lexus that her boyfriend, Michael Gocksch, also a 2012 Yale graduate, was driving at the time of the crash.
Massachusetts State Police in late June sought , and Gocksch appeared in an Orleans District Court Thursday afternoon.

The magistrate judge, however, "found no probable cause for the charges," and they were dismissed without prejudice less than an hour after the 2 p.m. hearing, according to Yale Daily News.
Both Keegan and Gocksch were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash on Route 6 in Dennis, and police said speed was not a factor.
