Man Faces Multiple Charges After Speeding, Hitting Cars, Fleeing on Foot

Wayland police helped Sudbury track a Marlborough man who fled away from his car into the woods.

A Marlborough man is facing a multitude of charges after police say he sped away from them, crashed into several vehicles, and fled on foot into the heavy woods off Boston Post Road.

On Dec. 27 around 11:45 a.m., Sudbury police tried to stop a car on Landham Road in the area of Stagecoach Lane. The driver turned onto Stagecoach, turned around in a cul-de-sac, stopped momentarily and then took off when the officer got out of the cruiser. The driver sped past several vehicles as the police pursued, and crashed into two vehicles along the way, said police.

The driver stopped and jumped out of the car, fleeing into the heavily wooded, marshy area south of Boston Post Road.
