New Chinese Restaurant Coming to Wayland

It's expected to open at the site of the former Viva Mexican Grill & Tequileria.

A new Chinese restaurant is planned for East Plain Street.

The China Rose eatery is expected to open in mid-May at the site of the former Viva Mexican Grill & Tequileria at 15 East Plain Street.

The Board of Selectmen approved a liquor license for the Chinese restaurant last week. The board suggested that the new owners have a manager on duty at all times to prevent any violations of the liquor license. The Viva eatery failed an alcohol compliance check in 2011.
