Next Court Date Set for Wayland Selectman

Joe Nolan was in court following charges he violated a restraining order in March.

Wayland Selectman Joe Nolan appeared in Framingham District Court today and learned the next court date related to charges he violated a restraining order prohibiting contact with one of his three children.

Nolan will next be in court on May 1.

Wayland Police arrested Nolan twice in March on charges that he violated a restraining order restricting contact with his 6-year-old son. Police said the dropped his 11-year-old son off in a neighbor's driveway at a distance less than the 100 yards required by the restraining order.

The when Nolan dropped off his older son with an ice cream cone that the 11-year-old then gave to the party named in the restraining order. This incident was reported as a "third-party violation."

In both cases, Nolan's wife called to report the violations to police.
