NSTAR Helicopter in Wayland Wednesday

Wayland Police Chief Robert Irving forwarded the message below that he received from NSTAR.

Dear Chief,

NSTAR Electric would like to make you aware of an upcoming aerial survey of several of its transmission Rights of Ways (ROW). The survey will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 9. It will be completed utilizing a Bell Jet Ranger helicopter.  The helicopter to be used is blue and white and carries registration number WA37. Flights will be conducted between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The survey will be flown at an altitude of 300 feet and will move continuously along our ROWs at a speed of 45 knots. Time spent in any given area will be very limited.

We understand this type of work may generate calls from concerned citizens and we want to make sure you and your staff are aware of the project.
