Police Log: Strange Dogs and Suspicious House Cleaners

The following information was supplied by the Wayland Joint Communications Center. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Mouse over the pins in the map for information about police or fire activity at that location. The same information, as well as items that cannot be mapped, is provided below.

  • 26 Mitchell Road; June 27, 7:43 p.m. - Caller reported a party in her neighbor's house cleaning while the neighbor was away. Police found it to be a house cleaner.
  • Waltham Road; June 27, 9:57 p.m. - Cows in the roadway.
  • 8 Simpson Road; June 29, 7:44 a.m. - Caller said a strange dog had something cornered in the bushes. The dog had left when the officer arrived and the "something in the bushes" turned out to be a cat, not a skunk as the caller had suspected.
  • 61 Commonwealth Road; June 29, 6:33 p.m. - Report of three males walking around with an open container.
  • 12 King Street; June 30, 5:18 a.m. - Report of a car being "egged" overnight.

Multiple arrests occurred during the period of this Police Log. Because of the unusually large number, the arrests are gathered in a separate article. See "A Week of Multiple Arrests (June 26-July 4)" for those details.
