June 30 - Berklee Summer in the City: Nasty Tango Duo performs as part of the library's summer in the city music program at Wakefield Library 345 Main Street.

July 3 - Finish at the 50 Road Race at Gillette Stadium: A road race followed by free fireworks at the stadium. Fireworks start at 9 p.m.

July 10 - Newton Centre Green: From 6:30 p.m.- 8 p.m. (donations accepted). Kicking off Newton's Heritage Festival series, Newpolie will perform music from the south of Italy fused with a variety of other Mediterranean cultures. Original melodies are mixed with traditional arrangements for a high tempo, passionate performance.

July 16 - Somerville ArtBeat: Weekend-long arts festival in Davis Square - live music and vendors. Starts at noon July 16.

Every Thursday - Quincy Market History tour: Meet at 11 a.m. at Quincy Market's Pulse Cafe, 141 S Market St.

Every Wednesday, Friday - Concerts in the Courtyard: At Boston Public Library.

Every Thursday - Free general admission to the Institute of Contemporary Art from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Boston Calling weekly Block Parties: All block parties are free and open to the public and will feature great local music. Each party will have a cash bar; fans must be 21+ to enter.
