Should Wayland Build The Field At Oxbow Meadows? The Globe Poses The Argument
The Boston Globe featured two Wayland residents' take on the proposed building of a field at Oxbow. Who do you agree with?

WAYLAND, MA—An athletic field is proposed to be built at Oxbow Meadows, 91 Oxbow Road.
The Planning Board in June held a public hearing on the proposal, which would be a multi-purpose natural grass field with dimensions of 110 yards by 70 yards. The proposal includes 45 parking spaces and a turnaround on dense graded crushed stone gravel.
But not everyone is in agreement that the field should be built.

Opposed, Charles D’Ambrosio argues that while a field may be needed, it should not be at that site. "I believe that Oxbow Meadows is not the right site to develop," he tells the Globe. Oxbow Road is designated as a Scenic Road under Wayland’s Scenic Road By-law, initiated to maintain the rural, natural, historic and scenic character of the town’s roads."
