This Sunday January 25 at First Parish of Wayland

Please join us at 10:00 am for Sunday service

Please join us for this special service that kicks off a year of activities celebrating the 200th anniversary of our Meetinghouse and the 375th anniversary of the gathering of our congregation in 1640. Led by the Rev. Dr. Stephanie May, the service will include a sermon presented by Minister Emeritus the Rev. Ken Sawyer, titled “When Our Lovely Building Was New.” The sermon will recount the completion of our current Meetinghouse in January 1815, and the legacy of the Rev. John Burt Wight, ordained that year as our seventh minister, the last one called to serve both the town and the church. The service will include a choir anthem sung at the dedication of the Meetinghouse, and a hymn sung at the building’s 100th anniversary service.

We have Nursery care available starting at 9:30 a.m. and Religious Education for grades Kindergarten to grade 7 start at 10:15.

Children Grades K - 8 interested in Children’s Choir will have practice at 11:20 a.m.
