Tax Classification Hearing in December

The Board of Assessors shares data relative to setting the tax rate for the town.

The Board of Selectmen will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, Dec. 1, in the Wayland Town Building, 41 Cochituate Road, Wayland, MA, at 7:15 p.m.

The Board of Assessors will present data relative to the setting of the tax rate, including the fiscal effect on taxpayers, for the different classifications of properties in Wayland. In addition, town officials responsible for preparing the tax recapitulation sheet for submission to the State Department of Revenue will review said sheet and answer questions from the public concerning the proposed tax rate.

Public comment will follow. If residents are unable to attend the hearing in person, written opinions may be sent to the Board of Selectmen, 41 Cochituate Road, Wayland, MA, 01778, or by email to selectmen@wayland.ma.us, prior to Dec. 1.
