On Sunday, April 10th from 10:00a.m - 4:00p.m, Lauren Craig Salon located in the Wayland Town Center will participate in the HAIRraising Cut-a-thon nationwide fundraising event to support the Heart Center at Boston Children’s Hospital. Children’s Hospital is the #1 pediatric hospital and research center in the country.

Lauren Craig Salon will open its doors and donate their time to provide wet haircuts (no blow-dry) to customers for $40; blow-drys for $20 and iron work for $10. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Boston Children’s Hospital. This is the third year Lauren Craig Salon will donate its time, space and services to support Children’s Hospital.

The HAIRraising event brings together the salon and hair communities to help support the life-saving care, breakthrough cures, treatments and innovations Children’s offers with huge global impact not only for children, but for adults as well.

Terry and Michael Lebrun, who opened the Lauren Craig Salon two and a half years ago, said they are happy to take part in such a great effort and are astonished at the support local businesses and their customers have provided. “Lauren Craig Salon is thrilled to participate in an event that brings our community together to support such a great cause,” said Terry.

The Salon has already raised $2700 three weeks prior to the event, through the sale of raffle tickets purchased and donations made by their customers over the past couple of weeks. Local businesses as well as members of the community have donated great prizes such as Patriots tickets, Sox tickets, massages, nail services, restaurant gift cards, and hair care products. As well, all of the Lauren Craig hair stylists have donated hair care services, some valued at $300.

Located in the Wayland Town Center since November 2013, Lauren Craig Salon is an award-winning hair salon, offering a full range of services 7 days a week. In its first year in Wayland, Lauren Craig Salon won the Wicked Local Readers Choice Award for #1 Hair Salon in Wayland and has won that award two years in a row.
