There will be two volleyball clinics during intramurals at the Middle School, for boys and girls on Tuesday and Thursday, May 27 & 29 from 2:30-3:30. The clinics will be run by the Wayland High School boys varsity coach, Rod Fletcher, with help from both the current boys and girls varsity and JV players.

The kids can stay after school and should wear sneakers. We will introduce basic volleyball skills, setting, passing, serving & spiking and play a variety of games while keeping it fun. No prior volleyball experience is needed, just show up with some energy and a positive attitude and plan to have fun! We will provide the volleyballs.

This will be a great introduction to the game and will give the kids a chance to see if they would like to play on the boys or girls Freshmen, JV or Varsity teams when they get to the high school. Since there are no volleyball teams in Wayland prior to the high school, almost all the players are beginners when they get to high school. The girls volleyball season is in the fall at the high school and the boys play in the spring.
