Vote Endyke-Doran For Lincoln-Sudbury Schools: Letter
In a letter, Mark Howrey explains his support for incumbent Cara Endyke-Doran.

The following letter to the editor does not reflect the views of Sudbury Patch
I am writing this letter in support of Cara Endyke-Doran for the position of Lincoln-Sudbury School Committee. We have been following the committee meetings closely over the last few years, especially during the recent COVID-19 crises. I was very impressed with Cara’s leadership during this difficult time for all students, families, and staff. Her leadership led to the early adoption of weekly Covid testing for all students and staff who wanted it. This provided great comfort to me as a parent and my children. She did her research, rolled up her sleeves, and got to work.
I was a school committee member in another town before moving to Sudbury and was involved in the Capital Improvement Advisory Committee after moving to Sudbury. Through these experiences, I know the importance of listening, thoughtful reflection, and learning. Cara has demonstrated all these skills. I very much respect how Cara handles herself during contentious discussions, showing respect for all opinions. Moreover, she has great institutional knowledge of the process as a School Committee member and of LS generally as a parent of two recent graduates and two current students.

I would like to thank Cara for her hard work, that which we see and most of which we don’t. As a parent of two recent LS graduates, I am grateful for her efforts. I strongly endorse Cara for the LS school committee so she can continue to listen and make our schools great.
