W Day Laxapalooza Pairs Lacrosse With Entertainment, Food and Prizes
This big annual event also includes clinics.
Lacrosse mixed with this many attractions and events must be a “palooza” of sorts.
In fact, it’s W Day Laxapalooza, planned for Saturday, May 9, from 12:30-7 p.m. at Wayland High School.
The weather’s looking ideal for this event, which features entertainment for all ages, food and refreshments, apparel and equipment sales, raffles and an auction with lacrosse-themed prizes.
There will be nearly ten different lacrosse games across the youth and high school teams for both girls and capped by Girls’ Varsity at 5:30 p.m. and Boys’ Varsity at 7:30 p.m. vs. Weston, according to the announcement.
A deejay plays tunes, and there will be a bouncy house, members of the Boston Cannons running fastest throw and trick shots, girls’ clinics run by Mass Mavericks in addition to face-painting by WHS Girls’ lacrosse players.
Food and refreshments are available from the mobile Rick’s Café between 1-7 p.m., and Orange Leaf of Wayland serves frozen yogurt.
