The series opens Thursday with a performance by The Wiley Brothers Band.

WAYLAND, MA — An annual summer concert series is returning to Wayland this week.

The Wayland Council on Aging will kick off its 15th Annual Outdoor Community Concert Series on Thursday. The concerts will take place Thursday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m., beginning Jun 18 and running through Jul 16, at the Wayland Community Center, 8 Andrew Ave.

The series opens Thursday with a performance by The Wiley Brothers Band, which plays hits from the 1950s through the 1980s and beyond, according to the band's website.

On Jun 25, The Kings of Swing will take the stage. The band performs swing, Latin and Top 40 favorites from the 1950s through the 1980s.

The Sudbury Valley New Horizons Band will perform on July 2. The ensemble includes adult musicians ranging in age from their 20s to their 80s. According to the group, some members are learning an instrument for the first time, while others have returned to playing after many years away.

On July 9, The Deloreans, a popular seven-piece rock and soul cover band based in Worcester, will perform.

The series concludes July 16 with The Honey Steelers Band, a Lowell-based Americana group that blends original songs with reimagined covers. Its music includes cowboy swing, country rock, folk and blues.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
