Wayland Applying for Solarize 2017

Wayland wants to offer another round of Solarize for easy access to solar PV at reduced prices and seeks residents' help with survey.

Kaat Vander Straeten of Transition Wayland and Ellen Tohn of the Wayland Energy Advisory Initiatives Committee announce that the Town of Wayland is partnering with Lincoln and Sudbury in applying for another round of Solarize, a program sponsored by the Mass Clean Energy Center that will allow Waylanders to plug into photovoltaic (electricity producing) solar at reduced prices.

Walyand did this in 2012 and exceeded everyone's expectations with a whopping 74 solar PV systems. This year, the Energy Advisory Committee and Transition Wayland plan to do even better and to offer everyone several opportunities for energy-efficiency and climate-resiliency. But they need your help.

If you live or work in Wayland, they invite you to fill out the survey below, even if you don't think solar PV is for you, or if you already have solar PV, because they would like to tell you about other options for renewable energy. And they need your input so they can design the program to meet Wayland's needs.
