WAYLAND, MA — The Wayland Warriors clinched the Division II MIAA state tournament boys swimming finals, edging out Westborough and Weston, which came in second and third place.
Wayland scored 283 points with runner-up Westborough scoring 202 and Weston with 186.
The team "seemingly had the title in the bag" from the outset, starting with the relay, reports the Boston Herald, which reports that the team won the 200-yard medley relay over Mystic River. Sean Devlin stood out as winning two of the events that night: the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly.
