Wayland Chief: 'Plowing Continues, No Power Outages'

Chief Irving issued an update to the town on Tuesday morning.

Police Chief Robert Irving checked in with the town at 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday morning with updates from the Wayland Police Department.

The chief’s updates:

  • As of 9:20 a.m. this morning there are no reports of power outages in the town of Wayland. There have been no storm related motor vehicle accidents reported.
  • The Wayland Fire Department responded to one call for medical assistance at 8:33 a.m.
  • One plow truck became disabled on Route #20 near Andrews Ave. and was towed.
  • Currently, five police vehicles are patrolling the roads and one officer is available on a snowmobile should a response be needed in an area that vehicles cannot reach.
  • Wayland Fire Department is fully operational with extra firefighters on duty.
  • The Department of Public Works is continuously plowing local roads and have been doing an excellent job in keeping the roads accessible to emergency vehicles.
