The Wayland Fire Department answered 50 calls for assistance during the week of Feb. 27-March 4, 2012. This is a summary of those incidents:

Monday, Feb. 27, 2012
6:03 a.m. - Commonwealth Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

2:39 p.m. - 120 Boston Post Rd Sudbury, mutual aid to Sudbury for a structure fire

2:45 p.m. - Cochituate Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

4:07 p.m. - 387 Commonwealth Rd, activation of smoke detector

6:20 p.m. - Boston Post Rd medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

6:32 p.m. - 38 Cochituate Rd, public education conducted

6:44 p.m. - 30 Bradford St, caller reported wires down across roadway

5:39 a.m. - Sycamore Rd, assistance needed

8:44 a.m. - Boston Post Rd Sudbury, medical emergency, one person transported to Emerson Hospital

10:42 a.m. - 107 Concord Rd, 309 & 131 Boston Post Rd, quarterly inspections completed

7:48 p.m. - 129 Hillside Dr, assist with residential lockout

8:25 p.m. - 11 Hastings Way, caller reported a strong odor of natural gas

11:31 p.m. - 1 Curling Lane, activation of alarm system

8:06 a.m. - Sycamore Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Natick

9 a.m. - Rice Rd, fire alarm maintenance work

9:55 a.m. - 357 Commonwealth Rd, site inspection

10:36 a.m. - 213 West Plain St, caller reported low hanging wires across roadway

11:13 p.m. - 10 Green Way, assist with motor vehicle lockout

7:19 a.m. - 15 Stonebridge Rd, caller reported a tree resting on wires

2:58 p.m. - Boston Post Rd Sudbury, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

8:18 p.m. - 42 Pickwick Way, activation of carbon monoxide detector

5:26 p.m. - Loker St, activation of lifeline, no transport necessary
