Emergency Response Underway At Wayland Summer Camp
First responders were on the scene of an incident involving a fallen tree in Wayland on Tuesday.

WAYLAND, MA — First responders were called to a summer camp in Wayland after a tree fell Tuesday.
The Wayland Fire Department said crews were at Camp Chickami on Boston Post Road around noon.
The tree fell on a child in a wooded area, and an ambulance was with the child, according to NBC10 Boston
The child’s condition and the extent of their injuries were not immediately known.
“This is an active incident, and additional information will be shared as it becomes available,” the town said in a statement.
YMCA Camp Chickami is located at 139 Boston Post Rd. It is described as a traditional day camp on wooded property bordering conservation land. The camp serves children entering grades one through 10 and is holding a session from Aug. 17 through Aug. 21, according to the YMCA.
