Wayland High School Tradition Returns In 2022 — And Needs Support
Wayland High School will hold its first prom since 2019, which means the traditional Wayland High School Late Night event will be back.
WAYLAND, MA — Prom is back in Wayland this spring for the first time since 2019. That also means a supervised post-prom party held over the past 20 years will also return.
The Wayland High School Late Night post-prom party will be held at the high school's field house following the big dance, and organizers began raising money for it this week. The Wayland PTO is organizing the event, which will also include a pre-event at the high school where prom-goers can walk down an orange carpet and have their photos taken.
"Late Night is a free, after-prom celebration organized and chaperoned by our high school parents, designed to provide a safe and substance-free post-prom environment," the Wayland PTO said of the event.

The 2022 Wayland prom will be held at the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor hotel on April 30. The Late Night party is open to all seniors, even those who don't attend prom.
