Wayland Hiring Public Safety Dispatcher
The position requires a high school diploma, basic proficiency with computers and at least two years of experience working with the public.

WAYLAND, MA-Wayland is looking for a new Public Safety Dispatch officer for the town's joint communication center.
The job makes the officer responsible for dispatching safety, service and other appropriate personnel to calls and maintain constant and diligent monitoring of the radio system and to coordinate backup support activities.
The dispatcher will also receive and record telephone calls and requests for service or information and maintain active computer entries regarding incidents, including all service calls. They keep supervisory personnel aware of priority calls and equipment status as well.

The position requires a high school diploma, basic proficiency with computers and at least two years' experience working with the public. Experience in emergency or security services is desirable. Certification in enhanced 9-1-1 systems through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and certification in CPR, first responder, police and fire dispatch, emergency medical dispatch and suicide prevention is preferred.
Starting salary is $38,688 – $46,956 with a competitive benefits package. Position salary is $38,688 – $53,469.
